REMARK: remove the cutter protection before using the lawn trimmer.
4.4- Fitting the belt (Fig.10+11)
Clip the the hook (q) of the belt (A5) to the anchor point (A6) on power unit tube.
Adjust the length and comfort.
The belt is fitted with a quick release system (r) (Fig.11).
Pull the tag (r) to quickly releasing the belt from the tool (note that the hook (q) will remain
attached to the anchor point (A6)).
Note: balance the unit so that attachment head stays parallel to the ground when standing in your
normal working position.
4.5- Before starting the machine - Connection
- This tool may only be connected to single-phase 230V AC source.
Ensure that the voltage of the mains power supply matches the operating voltage indicated on the
tool's rating plate.
- Connect the power plug to the coupling of an appropriate extension cord.
- Form a loop with the extension cord, and hook it over the cable holder (A12).
4.6- Starting the machine (Fig.12)
- Switching on: Press the safety switch (A4) and then press the trigger switch (A3).
- Switching off: Release the trigger switches (A3).
Warning! The cutting means (eg: nylon lines) continue to move for a few seconds after the tool is
switched off.
Wait until the cutting means come to a complete standstill before placing the machine down.
Caution! Do not touch the moving cutting means (i.e. nylon lines).
V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
- The product is intended for outdoor domestic use in private gardens.
- The tool is only suitable for cutting grass within the limits of its characteristics.
Any other usage that is not specified in this manual is herewith prohibited. We assume no liability
for personal injuries and material damages resulting or caused by improper use.
- This tool may not be used to do other things outside of the described scope in this manual.
- Do not use the machine for unsuitable purposes (for ex. for cutting wood ...)
- The tool is not intended for commercial, professional or industrial use (for ex.: in public parks...).
5.2- Operation
Before any operation:
-- always visually inspect that the product does not show signs of use or damage
-- check that the screws, bolts and nuts are well tightened.
Replace any used or damaged part, and tighten firmly the screws, bolts and nuts when needed.
Important - Before starting work
- Check the nylon lines proper operation.
- Repeat several times the starting and stoppage of the machine to become familiar with it.
- Make trial work on small grass area to become familiar with handling the machine.
1. Ensure that tool is properly connected to power supply. Lay the extension cord behind you.
2. Wear appropriate protective equipment.
3. Clear working area off any objects likely to pose a hazard.
4. Inform persons to stay away from working area and machine while you are working.
5. Firmly hold tool with both hands, and always maintain a balanced and secure position.
