7 Faults
The following chapter describes possible causes of faults and steps to correct them.
If faults occur with great frequently, shorten the maintenance intervals according to the actual stress.
If faults cannot be corrected following the instructions listed below, contact an authorized dealer close to you or
the manufacturer.

Unless specified otherwise, the troubleshooting steps described herein can be performed by the
operator.
Some steps may only be performed by specially trained qualified personnel or the manufacturer.
These steps will be pointed out separately in the description of the individual faults.
All work on the electrical system must be performed by trained electricians.

Risk of fatal injury caused by unauthorized restart!
Troubleshooting operations always involve the risk of the power supply being switched
on without authority. This may cause fatal injuries to any person inside the hazard area
of the machine.
Therefore:

Switch off the power supplies and secure them against restart before commencing
any work

Pull the power plug.
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to improper troubleshooting!
Improper troubleshooting may cause serious personal injury or property damage.
Therefore:
–
Before beginning to work, provide for enough installation clearance.

Keep the installation site tidy and clean! Components lying loosely about or on top
of each other may lead to accidents.

Make sure that all previously removed components and all fasteners are reinstalled
properly and all screws are tightened to torque.
–
Install all covers and safety fixtures as prescribed and check if they function
properly.
