14.1 Safety instructions

DANGER!
Risk of injury due to electrical shock!
▶ Before reaching into the device or the equipment, switch off the
operating voltage and secure to prevent reactivation!
▶ Observe applicable accident prevention and safety regulations
for electrical equipment!
WARNING!
Risk of injury from improper installation!
▶ Installation may be carried out by authorized technicians only
and with the appropriate tools!
Risk of injury from unintentional activation of the system and
an uncontrolled restart!
▶ Secure system from unintentional activation.
▶ Following installation, ensure a controlled restart.

14.2 Electrical installation with cable gland

Using the 4 – 20 mA set-point value input
If several devices of Type EP 501/EP 501 C are connected in
series and the power supply to a device in this series connection
fails, the input of the failed device becomes highly resistive.
As a result, the 4 – 20 mA standard signal fails.
In this case please contact EBRO Service directly.

Procedure:
→
Unscrew the 4 screws on the housing cover and remove the
cover. The screw-type terminals are now accessible.
→
Connect the device. The procedure is described in the following
chapters.
