CHANGING THE BLADE (FIG 6 - 9)
1. Unplug the saw.
2. Lift up the lower blade guard (1).
3. Loosen the front blade guard screw (2) until it releases the
blade bolt cover (3). Notice the screw must be backed out
enough to clear the tab on the blade bolt cover. No other
screws should be loosened.
4. Depress the spindle lock (4) and rotate the blade until the
spindle lock engages.
5. Using the blade wrench provided (5), loosen the blade bolt
(6) by turning it clockwise. Remove the blade bolt.
6. Remove the outer blade flange (7).
7. Remove the old blade from the saw.
NOTE:
A blade washer may be use for the blade with arbor

make sure it operates properly.
13. Raise and lower the saw head several times to make sure
the blade guard functions properly.
14. B e sure the spindle lock has released and the blade rotates

DEPTH OF CUT ADJUSTMENT (FIG 10)
WArNINg:
unplugged from the power source. Accidental saw
start-up could result in serious personal injury.
NOTE:
The miter saw should come adjusted properly for depth
of cut while using the factory-installed blade for normal operation.
The downward travel or depth of cut, of the saw blade can be
controlled to prevent contact with the metal surfaces of the miter
saw, to insure the blade completely cuts through the workpiece,
and permit depth of cut settings for special operations.
To Adjust The Miter Saw Blade's Cutting Depth
:
NOTE
This is factory set and usually does not require
adjusting. (This saw may not come with the necessary tools for
the following procedure.)
1. Locate the cutting depth adjustment (1+2) assembly on the
left side of the saw arm near the dust port.
2. If the saw arm is locked in the down position, release it by
pulling the saw arm lock knob out.
3. Loosen the nut (2) counter-clockwise several turns. Using the
5mm Allen wrench, loosen or tighten to adjust the stop bolt (1). Clockwise rotation will raise the depth
of cut; Counter-clockkwise will lower the depth of cut.
