Lockout Clearing Procedure
Option 1 Whale Space Heater Control Panel When Used With SH2211
The lockout must be cleared by turning the 'Fan Only' setting on the control panel, 'on', 'off' and 'on' again within 2.5
seconds. If the first lockout reset attempt is unsuccessful, you can retry an additional 4 times. If the lockout still will
not clear (identified by a solid LED), please turn off the heater, check the heater for faults, power up the heater and
then further lockout reset attempts can be made.
Option 1 Whale Space Heater Control Panel AND Option 2 Whale Duo Control Panel, When Used With Other
Heaters Covered In These Instructions (NOT Compatible With SH2211): SH2201, SC2201, SH2202, SC2202
and SC2211
If the Space Heater lockout condition has been identified by 1, 3, 4 or 5 flashes / bars lit, the lockout must be
cleared by turning the d.c. power 'off' and then 'on' again at the master switch in the vehicle. If the first attempt is
unsuccessful, you can retry an additional 4 times. If the lockout still will not clear (identified by a solid LED / all bars
lit), please press the Reset Button on the Space Heater once (see Fig. 40).
If the Space Heater lockout condition has been identified by 2 flashes / bars lit, the lockout must be cleared by
pressing the Reset Button on the Space Heater once (see Fig. 40).
If the problem persists contact Whale Support on +44 (0)345 9090 911.
Ensure fan has stopped before cycling power to prevent an overheat lockout.
Option 3 - Whale iVan® Control Panel (NOT Compatible With SH2211)
iVan® is equipped with an electronic diagnostic system which will detect fault conditions ranging from poor gas or
d.c. supply to internal Water or Space Heater malfunctions. In the unlikely event of a fault, this will be indicated by a
red '!' on the Water or Space Heater icon on the Home Screen.
The Space Heater will not operate when a fault is indicated on the home screen. A pop-up screen will appear when
you attempt to operate the Space Heater. The pop-up screen identifies the fault. As soon as you have completed the
suggested actions on the fault screens below, you must clear the fault code by following the instructions on screen.
The instruction will be to either turn the master switch off and then on OR press the red Reset Button once (the red
Reset Button can be found on the top of the Space Heater, beside the cold air inlet, see Fig. 40).
When the lockout has been cleared successfully, the Space Heater will default to 'Off'. The user must select the
desired power operation to operate the Space Heater. Please follow the advice on screen, as detailed in the following
table.

Gas in use
Ensure that there is gas in the gas bottle and
that there is no blockage in the gas line. At
temperatures below 5°C, use Propane gas
rather than Butane. Once the checks are
complete, turn the Master Switch 'off' then 'on',
then press OK on the iVan® Control Panel.
This will clear the fault code.
If there is a problem with the gas supply which
cannot be dealt with immediately, select an
electric heating option. If the fault does not
clear, please contact Whale Support on
