Operating Instructions
Step 5 (Pilot LED flashes five times):
Now. put. the. VES gauge or. a. similar. spacer. (height:. 30..40. mm).
on.the.ground.under.the.door.at.the.centre.of.the.clear.span.of.the.
door.opening.
When. you. press. the. DOWN. button,. the. control. unit. automatically.
(pulse.mode).moves.the.door.on.to.the.35.mm.high.VES.gauge..The.
control. unit. stores. this. point. as. the. internal. pre-limit. switch. (VES).
and.then.releases.the.VES.gauge..If.the.door.met.another.obstacle,.
press.the.DOWN.button.again..You.press.the.Prog button.to.go.to.
the.last.step.and.confirm.to.the.control.unit.that.you.stopped.at.35.
mm.and.store.this.position.as.the.pre-limit.switch.
Step 6 (Pilot LED flashes six times):
The. control. unit. is. now. back. in. dead-man. mode.. Move. the. door.
down.until.the.control.unit.independently.stops.the.door.at.the.bot-
tom.end.limit.
If. the. DIP. switch. DIP. 1.1. is. in. ON. position,. the. control. unit. stores.
the.switching.point.of.the.safety.edge.when.it.comes.into.contact.
with.the.ground..Ensure.that.the.ground.below.the.door.is.clean.and.
there.are.no.objects.in.the.way.
The.bottom.end.limit.is.indicated.by.an.illuminated.Fault2.LED.
If.you.press.the.Prog.programming.button.again,.you.confirm.to.the.control.unit.that.the.door.is.level.on.the.ground.
The.programmed.end.limits.are.stored.and.the.control.unit.switches.to.normal.mode.
Check.the.programmed.door.end.limits.and.the.standard.function.of.the.safety.edge.(setting.of.the.internal.pre-limit.switch.
VES).
Note
To check the set height of the internal pre-limit end switch VES, put the VES gauge or a simi-
lar spacer (height: 50 mm) on the ground under the door at the centre of the clear span of the
door opening. When the door reaches the 50 mm high VES gauge or similar spacer, the door must stop
immediately and then release this simulated obstacle (move up).
If this is not the case, check the connection and setting of the safety edge again and re-program the door
end limits. Pay particular attention to step 5.
To check the deactivation of the safety edge function by the internal pre-limit switch VES, consult stand-
ard EN 12445: Safe Use of Power-Operated Doors - Test Procedure.
