Operating procedure

Turn on the power of the camera and other units.

Adjust the lighting of the subject to the
appropriate level.

Select the operating mode.
Once the mode has been selected, it need not be
selected again when the camera is going to be used
under the same conditions.

Adjust the flange back of the lens, and adjust
the iris and focus.
p The flange back adjustment must be performed when
the camera is used for the first time and when the
lens has been changed.

Adjust the white balance.
p The white balance must be adjusted when the
camera is used for the first time and when it is going
to be used again after it has not been used for a
prolonged period.
p It must be adjusted when the lighting conditions or
brightness has been changed.
p Once the white balance has been adjusted, it need
not be adjusted again when the camera is going to
be used under the same conditions.

Adjust the black balance.
p The black balance must be adjusted when the
camera is used for the first time and when it is going
to be used again after it has not been used for a
prolonged period.
p It must be adjusted when the ambient temperature
has changed significantly or when one season
changes to another.
p Once the black balance has been adjusted, it need
not be adjusted again when the camera is going to
be used under the same conditions.

Take the shots.
(On completion, turn off the power of the camera and
other units.)

Refer to page 58 and following when the
camera settings are to be changed to match
the intended application or prevailing
conditions.
(These settings are already appropriate when the
camera is shipped if the prevailing conditions of
shooting are normal.)
