4. Configuration And Operation

The Next™ NXT-1 is configured through the control panel and operated with a controller. The
type of controller and configuration of the control system along with the intended use of the
Next™ NXT-1 drive the configuration settings.
The Next™ NXT-1 responds to DMX signals. The DMX signals come into the Next™ NXT-1
through the DMX In port, the Neutrik® etherCON® port, or both, depending on the control
system environment.
Control system environments range from simple DMX only environments with a single lighting
controller to complex multi-protocol system with media servers and lighting controllers.

Control Panel

The control panel is on the front of the Next™ NXT-1 and includes an LCD display and four
buttons for moving around the menu structure.

The menu map is all the options and settings available in the menu structure.
