Remote Set Up - Install/Replace Batteries
The remote control receiver located in the fireplace does not use
batteries. It is powered by the control board.
The handheld remote is battery operated. These batter-
ies will need to be replaced periodically as part of the nor-
mal maintenance of the fireplace. Replace the batteries with
3 AAA sized 1.5V batteries.
The battery compartment panel is located on the back of the con-
trol.
Remote Set Up - Set the Clock
When the batteries are inserted into the remote, the time and day
must be set.
Note:
This remote uses a 24-hour clock.

Press the remote's adjustment button to adjust the hour.
2.
Press the menu button to save the value.
3.
Repeat the process for the minutes and the day.
4.
If the remote has the batteries installed but the time and date
need to be adjusted, turn off the remote by holding down the
power button until the display back light turns off.

Simultaneously press the mode and menu buttons to enter
the Clock Setting Mode.

Repeat steps 1 through 3 to adjust the settings.
Note:
If the remote buttons are not used for seven seconds
while in the Clock Setting Mode, the remote will automatically
exit the Clock Setting Mode and assume the last settings en-
tered in the menu.
Remote Set Up - Temperature Units
This remote will show temperature in either degrees Celsius or
degrees Fahrenheit.

To switch units of measure, turn the remote off by holding the
power button until the back light on the display turns off.
2.
Hold down the mode button until the units of measure chang-
es.
