3.2 Intended use

The safety temperature limiters/monitors are universally applicable instruments. The safety
temperature monitor is used for monitoring plants. It switches the plant off when a preset
temperature is exceeded. In the event of a fault, the safety temperature limiter puts a plant
into a safe operating condition.
Both versions can be used with the media water, oil and gas. The measuring line
decouples the display from the measuring point. The direct ambient temperature which
affects the case must not be outside the range of 0 ... 60 °C. This leads to measuring errors
which have an effect on the display of the actual value and the switch behaviour.
These instruments are not approved for use in hazardous areas!
