Only use the battery with products from the manufac-
u
turer. This is the only way in which you can protect the
battery against dangerous overload.
Only charge the batteries using chargers recommen-
u
ded by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for
one type of battery may pose a fire risk when used with a
different battery.
Protect the battery against heat, e.g. against
continuous intense sunlight, fire, dirt, water
and moisture. There is a risk of explosion and
short-circuiting.
Never swallow button cells. Swallowing button cells can
u
result in severe internal burns and death within two
hours.
Ensure that the button cell is kept out of the
reach of children. If you suspect that
someone has swallowed a button cell or that a
button cell has entered the body in another
way, seek medical attention immediately.
Ensure that battery replacement is carried out prop-
u
erly. There is a risk of explosion.
Only use the button cells listed in this operating
u
manual. Do not use any other button cells or other forms
of electrical power supply.
Do not attempt to recharge the button cell and do not
u
short circuit the button cell. The button cell may leak,
explode, catch fire and cause personal injury.
Remove and dispose of drained button cells correctly.
u
Drained button cells may leak and damage the product or
cause personal injury.
Do not overheat the button cell or throw it into fire.
u
The button cell may leak, explode, catch fire and cause
personal injury.
Do not damage the button cell and or take the button
u
cell apart. The button cell may leak, explode, catch fire
and cause personal injury.
Do not allow damaged button cells to come into con-
u
tact with water. Leaking lithium may mix with water to
create hydrogen, which could cause a fire, an explosion,
or personal injury.
Protect the measuring tool, particularly the area
u
around the infrared lens, speaker and microphone,
from moisture, snow, dust and dirt. The reception lens
could fog up or become contaminated and distort the
measurements. Incorrect settings on the tool and other
atmospheric influences may make the measurements in-
accurate. Object temperatures could be shown to be hot-
ter or colder than they are, which may present a danger if
touched.
High temperature differences in a thermal image may
u
cause even high temperatures to be shown in a colour

associated with low temperatures. Coming into contact
with such an area may cause burns.
Temperature measurements will only be correct if the
u
emissivity setting matches the emissivity of the ob-
ject. Otherwise, object temperatures could be shown to
be hotter or colder than they are, which may present a
danger if touched.
Do not point the measuring tool directly at the sun or
u
at high-performance CO₂ lasers. This may damage the
detector.
Do not place the measuring tool on the rechargeable
u
battery. It can easily tip over. The fall may cause injuries.
Keep the magnet away from implants and
other medical devices, e.g. pacemakers or
insulin pumps. The magnet generates a field
that can impair the function of implants and
medical devices.
Keep the measuring tool away from magnetic storage
u
media and magnetically-sensitive devices. The effect
of the magnets can lead to irreversible data loss.
The measuring tool is equipped with a wireless inter-
u
face. Local operating restrictions, e.g. in aeroplanes
or hospitals, must be observed.

Intended Use

This thermal imaging camera is designed for the contactless
measurement of surface temperatures.
The displayed thermal image shows the temperature distri-
bution in the thermal imaging camera's field of view and
therefore enables temperature deviations to be depicted in
different colours.
When used correctly, this makes it possible to examine areas
and objects in a contactless manner for temperature differ-
ences and discrepancies in order to make components and/
or any weaknesses visible, including:
– Thermal insulation and other types of insulation (e.g. loc-
ating thermal bridges)
– Active heating and hot water pipes (e.g. underfloor heat-
ing) in floors and walls
– Overheated electrical components (e.g. fuses or termin-
als)
– Faulty or damaged machine parts (e.g. overheating due to
faulty ball bearings)
The measuring tool is not suitable for measuring the temper-
ature of gases.
The measuring tool must not be used for human medical pur-
poses.
