CONTROL and CONNECTION ELEMENTS
Control elements
It is possible to control door OPENING and CLOSING with the
buttons integrated in the cover in automatic and/or deadman mode.
If set in automatic mode, the door can be stopped at any time with
the STOP button.
It is possible to connect other control elements, a triple button for
example, for control from outside.
A traction-activated switch, installed inside or outside, controls the
door in the OPEN-STOP-CLOSE function.
If the optional radio receiver is connected, it is always possible to
stop the door with the manual radio transmitter.
Connection to the single-phase network - fig. 1
A Schuko plug is connected to the L1 (phase), L2 (0) and PE
terminals.
The UST1-FU unit can also be supplied with a main switch (optional).
In this case the SCHUKO plug is to be removed during assembly.

Connection to the three-phase network - fig. 2
A 16A EEC plug is connected to terminals L1, L2, L3 and the PE
terminal.
The UST1-FU unit can also be supplied with a main three-phase
switch (optional).
In this case the EEC plug is to be removed during assembly.

Inverter connection - fig. 3
The three-phase gearmotor is to be connected to terminals U, V, W
and PE.
If the gearmotor is equipped with a N neutral conductor, it is to be
connected to loose terminal N of the power supply cable, for a brake
activated by a 230 V rectifier for example.
ATTENTION!
The connections must be delta (3x230V) in the limit switch
housing in the case of single-phase inverter (0.75kW, 1.5kW,
2.2kW).
The connections must be star (3x400V) in the limit switch
housing in the case of three-phase inverter (3kW, 4kW, 5kW,
7.5kW).

Direction of rotation control
Once the gearmotor is connected, it is necessary to check the
direction of rotation in deadman mode with the OPENING and
CLOSING buttons.
It is necessary to disconnect the EEC plug and reverse the U and
V connections (phase reversal) if the direction of rotation does not
correspond to the direction of the arrow on the pressed button. With
the 400  V inverters, it is necessary to reverse the phase on the
inverter (U, V, W) output toward the motor!
Electronic limit switch connection - fig. 4-5
During start-up (electronic limit switch setting), the additional stroke
section of the motor at the upper and lower points of the manoeuvre
is measured and stored.
It is necessary to move the door UP and DOWN 5 times to calculate
the exact section. This procedure allows the state of wear of the
springs to be evaluated through the K5 service module in the case
of doors with stabilizing springs.
The electronic limit switch is to be connected to terminals J35 and
J34 of terminal block X7 in the UST1-FU unit. The safety circuit
with the integrated limit switches of the thermal contact and the
emergency switch are to be connected to terminal J29 of terminal
block X7.
