off and change the position of the wires 3 and 4, or the wires that go to the
motor (or openclose push-button). It is very important the correct wiring of the
common (N blue).
10) REGULATION OF THE OPENING LIMIT-SWITCH (Fig. J1)
Fasten the door to the pulley with the pulley fastening ring, serrated external lock
washer and M10x25 countersunk screw using the 6mm Allen key (WIND RMC 235B
240/WIND RMC 235B 240EF) and 8mm Allen key (WIND RMC 445B 240 EF) that come
with the motor (fig.L). Turn the rising adjuster (Fig. J1) by hand until you are happy
with the door's open position. Try out operation and adjust again if necessary.
CHECKING THE OPERATION DIRECTION AND REGULATION OF THE LIMIT-
SWITCHES
Follow the same instructions that for one motor, taking M1 as the main one.
M2 will turn the same way that M1, if necessary change the position of the two
motor wires (black and brown) connected in M2. It is very important the correct
wiring of the common (N blue). After that we will do the regulation of the limit-
switches in M1 In case of electric brake it is recommendable to fit one to any
motor (M1 and M2).
11) REPLACEMENT OF THE ELECTRIC WIRE
For a correct replacement of the electric wire respect the following indications:
1)
Cut out the electric connection
2)
Take out the lid that covers the micro switch removing the 2 screws.
3)
Unscrew the 3 wires and the ground.
4)
Remove the stuffing box and take out the cable (if does not slide cut it).
5)
Loosen all the wire fixings to the electronic board.
6)
Unwire the cable from the board.
7)
Substitute the wire for another cable with standard (4x1.5HO5 VVF).
8)
Wire the new cable doing the same operations in the inverse sense.
9)
Switch on the motor and check its correct direction. If not, change the
black wire and the brown one. Make reference to the connection board
indicated in the assembling instructions paying attention to the position
of the common motor (N) [Fig. G].
12) APPLICATION OF ELECTRONIC BRAKE AND RELEASE DEVICE
Should you want to make a reversible model irreversible, you can apply the X
EF1 kit (Fig.M):
1) Fit plastic brake disc DR on motor shaft.
2) Insert steel wire F through brake disc DF, also running it through spring M,
coil B, coil cover CB and electronic brake cover CE.
3) Insert coil B inside coil cover CB and insert the coil cover, in turn, inside elec-
tronic brake cover CE.
4) Fasten coil cover CB to electronic brake cover CE using the 2 screws V3.
5) Fasten the cover flange FC on electronic brake cover CE with screws V2, using
the locating tooth as a guide; thread the brake adjustment screw VT onto the
steel wire, followed by sheath G, which must sit with its cap resting against
the brake adjustment screw VT.
6) Once the gearmotor has been fitted, run the sheath inside the spring-carrier
shaft, taking care not to make bends that are too sharp.
7) Screw the two halves of the release knob P together fully and insert the steel
wire F inside them until sheath G is compressed, then thread the wire locking
guide GF onto the wire sticking out of knob P and use screw V1 to secure all
parts in place.
The emergency release device makes it possible to manoeuvre the roll-up door
manually.
WIND RMC 235B 240:
In the case of models without electric brake, simply open the lock, if fitted, and
then manually lift the roll-up door, thereby forcing the gearmotor to a reversible
movement.
WIND RMC 235B 240EF/WIND RMC 445B 240EF:
Install the release control at a maximum height of 1.8 m.
In the case where the emergency release device is external, prepare a small
safe provided with a personalised key, where to insert the release knob.
13) OPERATOR USE
Since the operator can be controlled remotely and therefore out of sight, all the
safety devices must be regularly checked for perfect efficiency.
WARNING! In the case of any malfunction in the safety devices, request prompt
assistance from qualified personnel.
Children must be kept at a safe distance from the operator working area.
14) CONTROL
The use of this operator allows roll-up door access to be automatically controlled.
There are different types of control (manual, remote, magnetic card access, pres-
ence detector etc.) depending on the installation requirements and characteristics.
See the relevant instructions for the various control systems.

INSTALLATION MANUAL
15) MALFUNCTION. CAUSES and REMEDIES
15.1) The roll-up door does not open. The motor does not turn.
1) Check that the photocells are not dirty, engaged or misaligned.
Proceed as required. Check the safety edge.
2) If the motor is overheated, the thermal protection may be activated.
Wait for self-resetting to take place.
3) Check that the motor and the start capacitor are correctly connected.
4) Check that the electronic components are correctly supplied with power.
Check that the fuses are undamaged.
5) By means of the control panel diagnosis LEDs (see respective instructions),
check whether the functions are correct. If any fault is found, identify the
cause. If the LEDs show that a start command persists, check that there are
no radio transmitters, start buttons or other control devices which keep the
start contact activated (closed).
6) If the control panel does not work, it must be replaced.
15.2) The roll-up door does not open. The motor turns but there is no move-
ment.
1) On EF models, check the electronic brake's adjustment as indicated in section
12) by adjusting the screws V3.
2) Check that the drive pulley and all the operator components are undamaged.
