Basic Operations (1)

1 Press the POWER button, followed by the
STANDBY/ON button.
2 Select the desired source with the INPUT
SELECTOR knob.
VCR/TAPE
SAT/AUX (OPT 1, OPT 2, COAX)
DVD (OPT 1, OPT 2, COAX)
CD (OPT 1, OPT 2, COAX)
CD-R/MD (OPT 1, OPT 2, COAX)
TUNER
< To listen to CD-R/MD connected to a
DIGITAL IN terminal, you can set the
INPUT SELECTOR to any digital source
(CD, SAT or DVD).
3 When SAT/AUX, DVD, CD-R/MD or CD is
selected, press the DIGITAL INPUT button
to select "OPTICAL1", "OPTICAL2",
"COAXIAL" or "ANALOG" in accordance
with your connection.
If "DTS", "DOLBY DIGITAL" or "SOURCE"
blinks on the display:
A digital input souce(OPT 1, OPT 2, COAX)
has been selected, but the source isn't
connected or is not switched on.
In that case, connect and switch the
source on, or select ANALOG by pressing
the DIGITAL INPUT button.
4 Play the source, and gradually turn up the
volume to the required level with the
MASTER VOLUME control.
Recording a Source
You can record a source such as a Compact
Disc onto a CD-R, MD or a cassette tape
connected to the CD-R/MD REC or VCR/TAPE
OUT jacks.
1 Turn the INPUT SELECTOR knob to select
the source to be recorded.

Start recording.

< Pour écouter un CD-R/MD branché à une
borne DIGITAL IN, vous pouvez régler le
sélecteur d'entrée (INPUT SELECTOR) à
une des sources numériques (CD, SAT ou
DVD).

Quand l'appareil se trouve commuté sur
SAT/AUX, DVD, CD-R/MD or CD, appuyer
sur la touche DIGITAL INPUT pour
sélectionner "OPTICAL1", "OPTICAL2",
"COAXIAL" ou "ANALOG" selon le
branchement.
Si "DTS", "DOLBY DIGITAL" ou "SOURCE'
clignotes sur l'affichage:
Une source d'entrée numérique (OPT 1,
OPT 2, COAX) a été sélectionnée mais la
source n'est pas branchée ou n'est pas
allumée. Dans ce cas, brancher et allumer
la source, ou sélectionner ANALOG en
appuyant sur la touche DIGITAL INPUT.
4 Lancer la lecture de l'appareil source, et
relever progressivement le volume au
niveau requis avec la commande
MASTER VOLUME.
Enregistrement d'une source
Vous pouvez entregistrer une source telle
que le CD sur une bande cassette ou sur un
disc CD-R ou MD branché aux prises CD-
R/MD REC or VCR/TAPE OUT.
1 Tourner le sélecteur d'entrée (INPUT
SELECTOR) pour choisir la source à
enregistrer.
2 Démarrer l'enregistrememt.
