1. Preparation of the cavity according to the general regulations of the composite-fillingtherapy. Then
clean and dry the cavity. For deep cavities it is recommended to protect the dentin adjacent to the
pulp by a corresponding lining (e.g. calcium hydrate preparation and filling of glass-ionomeric
cementum). For the sealing of exposed cervical areas a preparation normally is not necessary. It is
recommended to use rubber dam.
2. Apply etching agent (e.g. iBOND
enamel areas and leave it for 15 – 30 sec (total-etch-technique). If desired apply etching agent only
to the enamel. In case of fluoridated enamel it may be necessary to repeat steps 2 – 4. Please refer
to the instruction for use of the appropriate etching agent.
3. Completely rinse off etching agent with water for at least 15 sec by using water spray. No rests
should remain in the cavity.
4. Dry cavity with oil-free air (Do not dessicate dentin!).
5. Place GLUMA Solid Bond P and massage it smoothly in the dentin. The adhesion of enamel is not
affected by GLUMA Solid Bond P.
6. Blow by means of a low airstream.
7. Place GLUMA Solid Bond S and apply to the cavities as well as the etched enamel areas.
8. Spread it by means of a low airstream. Do not blow layer too thin! In case of deep cavities apply
twice if required.
