into the hole on the top head strap.
Fitting the mask: Beards and sideburns in the
sealing area of the face mask will cause leaks.
Therefore the face mask should not be used

Fit harness over head, pulling back until the head strap fits smoothly.
Adjust mask until it fits properly.
1 Tighten the neck straps uniformly.
2 Tighten the temple straps uniformly.
3 Tighten front strap as necessary.
Fit check: Seal the connector with the ball of
your thumb and breathe in until negative

breath for a moment. The negative pressure
should be maintained. If not retighten the straps. Repeat the leak test
twice. Never use a mask that leaks.
Exhalation valve check: Seal off the connector and exhale vigorously.
The exhaled air must be able to escape without obstruction. If not, see

Operation with respiratory filters
Preconditions: The ambient air must contain at least 19.5 % oxygen by
volume. Do not use breathing systems in unventilated containers,
trenches, ducts etc. The type of pollutants must be known and the
appropriate breathing filter used.
Screwing in the breathing filter: Fully remove the sealing strip and
firmly screw in the breathing filter clockwise.
Duration of use: The operating period depends on various factors,
including the type and concentration of pollutant and the type of filter.
Extreme operating conditions
In case of low temperatures: Treat the inside of the visor with anti-

to prevent it from fogging up. Hardening of the
exhalation valve disc is possible. Take particular care to check for leaks.
In case of high temperatures: If the visor is damaged, leave the
danger area immediately.
In the presence of chemicals: Substances such as H
phosgene may be absorbed by the materials of the full-face mask,
especially silicone, or may diffuse through it.
In explosion-hazard: Treat the mask with antistatic spray or work with
a screen of water mist.
After use
Unscrew the respirator or respiratory filter.
Disposing of used respiratory filters: Used filters must be treated as
special waste and must be disposed of in accordance with the
applicable waste disposal regulations.
Removing mask: Insert index finger behind
the tabs on the neck straps and press the
clamping buckles forwards with thumb, pulling
the mask off your face and back over your
head.

a different individual or, if individually assigned, as often as necessary to
keep in a sanitary condition. Respirators that are issued to more than
