Use
Hold the full mask ready: Undo the straps as far as possible. Pass the
neckband around your neck and button it into the front strap.
Putting on the mask: Facial hair under the
mask seal can cause leaks. The mask should
not be used by people with beards and
sideburns. The bow of glasses under the
mask seal also causes leaks. A spectacle
frame should be used in such cases.
Unbutton the strap and place chin in recess.
Fit straps round head and pull them back until
the front strap rests smoothly on the face.
Position the mask.
1 Tighten the neck straps uniformly.
2 Tighten the temple straps uniformly.
3 Tighten front strap as necessary.
Check for leaks: Tightly compress the mask
connection and breathe in until a vacuum is
produced. Briefly hold your breath: the vacuum must be maintained.
If it is not, the straps must be tightened further. The leak test must be
repeated twice. The mask should only be used if perfectly tight.
Checking the exhalation valve: Seal the mask connector and exhale
vigorously. The exhaled air must escape freely. If not, follow the
instructions in "Visual inspection of the exhalation valve".
Connect the compressed air breathing apparatus, fresh air hose
breathing apparatus or breathing filter
Operation with breathing filters
Preconditions: The ambient air must contain at least 17 % oxygen by
volume. Do not use breathing systems in unventilated containers,
trenches, ducts etc. The type of pollutants must be known and the
appropriate breathing filter used.
Screwing in the breathing filter: Fully remove the sealing strip and
firmly screw in the breathing filter clockwise.
Duration of use: The operating period depends on various factors,
including the type and concentration of pollutant and the type of filter.
Extreme operating conditions
In case of low temperatures:
Treat visor with antimisting agent "klar-pilot" Gel to prevent it from

. Exhalation valve disc may harden. Test it especially for
leaks.
In case of high temperatures: Leave the danger zone immediately if visor
is damaged.
In case of cyclic thermal stress: For visors marked PC/C, the coating of
the visor may blister and come loose in places. After wiping off the burst
particles, the full mask can safely continue to be used until the end of
the intervention.
In the presence of chemicals: Substances such as H
may be absorbed by the material of the full mask, especially silicone, or
may diffuse through it.
In explosion-hazard areas: Treat the mask with anti-static spray or work
with a screen of water mist.
After use
Unscrew the demand valve or respirator filter
1)
Dispose of the respirator filter
Remove mask: Slide your index finger under
the ends of the neck straps, press the clamps
forwards with your thumbs and at the same
time pull the mask over your head and off your
face.

Only use approved cleaning products and disinfectants.
Cleaning: The mask must be cleaned after each use. Do not use
solvents, such as acetone, alcohol, etc. to clean the mask. The mask
should be thoroughly cleaned in lukewarm water containing a little all-
