SETTING UP THE DEVICE

Set up the device, using the handle or the device's pedestal, so it can be operated and read
comfortably.
Avoid direct sunlight over a longer period since this could damage the screen.
In order to comply with the technical tolerance data, the device has to be oper-
ating for about 20 minutes within the given operating temperature range.

GETTING STARTED

Insert the mains cable provided into the mains socket at the back of the device, and connect
the safety plug to an earthed mains socket.
Switch on the device with the power switch (POWER I/0). The oscilloscope is activated when
the switch is held in the pressed position.
The device shows a start screen and is ready for operation after a short initialisation phase.
Connect the corresponding measuring lines/probes to the BNC connector of the input channel
CH1 or/and CH2.
The measuring voltage should only be applied to the internal conductor.
The external conductor (reference earth) is connected to the earth potential
(protective earth conductor).
Touch the object to be measured with the probes.
For automatic signal setting push the "AUTO SET" button.
This function sets the time base, the vertical defl ection and the trigger level automatically to
optimise the signal visualisation on the oscilloscope.
Remove the probe from the object after fi nishing the measurement, and turn off the device.
