IMPORTANT

Before installing the system, check that:
- the vehicle is equipped with an O.E. air conditioning system;
- the O.E. air conditioning system is loaded with coolant and fully
functional.
Check the amount of coolant present in the O.E. air conditioning
system at the time of recovery.

GENERAL NOTES AND WARNINGS

Read the whole manual carefully before proceeding with
installation.
For the installation, it is important to closely follow the instructions
contained in this manual.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility in the cases of damages
or injuries caused by non-compliant installations or changes to the
system.
Installation, maintenance and repairs must be carried out
exclusively by a specialised technician informed about the relative
hazards and prescription, in compliance with the regulations in force
and in observance of the manufacturer's instructions.
Use the protective devices and equipment envisaged.
WARRANTY
Please refer to the warranty certificate which accompanies the system
for instructions on correct activation of the product warranty.
Failure to observe the above instructions will make the system
warranty null and void.
The O.E. parts, with the exception of the electrical components, are
identified with numeric references higher than one hundred (e.g.: 101).
Dotted alphabetic references (e.g.: A.1) identify parts of a ready-
assembled supply.
The indications that refer to RIGHT and LEFT are related to the driver of
the vehicle facing the direction of travel.
Use the system only for the purpose indicated by the manufacturer
and abstain from making arbitrary changes or transformations to the
appliance. The Manufacturer will NOT apply the warranty to systems
that have been altered or transformed.
The system is not designed for use in potentially explosive
environments.
The system is not designed for use in a saline environment.
Some components of the system can be very heavy. Take all the
necessary precautions when handling, installing, repairing or using
them to prevent dropping, damages and lesions.
IT EN FR DE ES
During the assembly phases, when drilling into the vehicle parts, take
care not to damage wiring or hoses of previously installed systems.
CAREFULLY SEAL EVERY HOLE MADE IN THE VEHICLE WALLS USING A
SUITABLE PRODUCT.
The hoses must be carefully positioned, avoiding tight bends, sharp
edges or metal sheeting which could damage them.
It is extremely important to avoid siphons along the whole length of
the pipes.
BEFORE CARRYING OUT INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
ON THE CONDITIONER, DISCONNECT ALL THE CONNECTIONS TO THE
VEHICLE BATTERY AND TO EVERY OTHER SOURCE OF ENERGY. FAILURE
TO OBSERVE THIS PRESCRIPTION WILL RESULT IN EXPOSURE TO THE
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK AND INJURY CAUSED BY MOVING PARTS
(PULLEYS, BELTS, ELECTRIC FANS).
If the electric wires pass through walls with sharp edges, use
protective hoses or specific channelling.
Tightly fasten the electric wires in place, paying particular
attention to their route along metal walls that conduct electricity; also
avoid contact with sharp parts.
Connect the system to the vehicle power supply, protecting the system
with a fuse.
Always use two spanners when opening or closing the fittings of the
cooling circuit in order to balance the torque.
When carrying out operations near the battery (evaporator
and/or condenser) make sure you do not cut yourself on the edges
of the fins.
During operations that involve the handling of coolant, you
should be aware that:
- when close to sources of heat, it produces an unpleasant smelling gas
which irritates the eyes and respiratory system
- you must never use a flame to heat a circuit containing coolant
because it is easily inflammable
- in its liquid state, coolant evaporates upon contact with the
atmosphere and freezes everything it touches.
In the event of freezing:
- immediately place the frozen part in COLD water. If there is no water
available, wrap the frozen part gently in a clean cloth.
If the coolant comes into contact with the eyes, rinse them thoroughly
with clean water and seek your doctor's advice.
Avoid contact with synthetic oils. Wash thoroughly after contact.
The oil contained in the system is inflammable.
BEFORE WORKING WITH FLAMES ON THE COOLING CIRCUIT, MAKE
SURE THAT THERE ARE NO RESIDUAL TRACES OF COOLANT INSIDE THE
SYSTEM.
Open the system and recover the coolant, waiting for all of it
to run out.
CAUTION: SOME PARTS OF THE SYSTEM MAY CONTAIN OIL THAT CAN
BURST INTO FLAME EVEN IN THE ABSENCE OF COOLANT.
Dispose of packaging materials in compliance with the laws in force,
separating them if recycling services are available.
