Place a pre-filter into the pre-filter holder.

Snap the pre-filter holder on the filter or cartridge.

Check to see that it is firmly attached to the filter or cartridge.
INSTALLING THE PROTECTIVE ELEMENT INTO THE RESPIRATOR
1)
Insert one part of the large lip of the protective element into the filter attachment flange.
The arrows on the label point to – "this side toward face".
2)
Using your finger and pull the lip of the attachment flange around the element until the entire cartridge
or P100 filter lip is seated inside the filter attachment.
3)
Squeeze the top edge of the element and the bottom edge of the respirator filter attachment together
until the filter attachment flange touches against the edge of the cartridge.
4)
Check that the entire lip of the respirator filter holder is touching the protective elements.
Tug on the protective element to verify that it is properly seated.
To provide proper protection the appropriate protective elements must be
properly seated in the respirator before entering a hazardous atmosphere.
B. Removal
1)
Turn the mask over.
2)
On the bottom of the respirator filter attachment you will find a small tab resting on the side of the
protective element.
3)
Grasp the protective element with one hand and this tab with the finger and thumb of the other hand.
4)
Peel back on the tab while pulling on the cartridge.
Dispose of a used cartridge or filter in the proper manner.
Separate the stacked cartridge and P100 filter.
1)
Place a coin it in the space between the lower lip of the
P100 filter and the small tab molded into the side of the cartridge.
2)
Push firmly and twist the coin until the filter pops off.

The filter will always be snapped on the cartridge.
The cartridge will always be inserted into the respirator.
