05 | INSERTING/REPLACING THE BATTERIES
05.1 RADIO TRANSMITTER
The radio transmitter is equipped with a pre-installed, long-life 23A 12V battery.
In order to replace the radio transmitter battery, you will need a screw driver. Loo-
sen the screw (8) and open the housing of the radio transmitter. Replace the battery
with a fresh one. Put the 2 halfs of the housing back together and tighten the screw
(8) again.
05.2 RADIO RECEIVER
Slide the battery compartment cover (13) in the direction of the arrow until it opens.
Insert 2 fresh type AAA batteries (optional) according to the polarity marked inside
the battery compartment (14). Slide the battery compartment cover in the opposite
direction of the arrow until it snaps in.
06 | CONNECTING RADIO TRANSMITTER
AND RADIO RECEIVER
NOTE
To establish a successful radio connection, set the same channel (7+9) for radio
transmitter and receiver.
06.1 RADIO TRANSMITTER
Install the hot shoe connector (4) in the hot shoe of your camera and tighten the
locking screw (6) downwards.
06.2 RADIO RECEIVER
Plug in the sync plug 3,5mm (12) into the sync socket of your studio flash. Use the
6,35mm adapter (15) if needed.
07 | OPERATION
1. Turn on your studio flash and choose the desired power level.
2. Use On/Off switch (10) to turn on the radio receiver.
NOTE
Use the test button (1) on your radio transmitter or release your camera in or-
der to test if the radio connection is established successfully. When everything
works correctly and same channel setting is used for transmitter and receiver,
your studio flash should release a flash. At the same time the LED indicators
(2+11) light up shortly.
3. Choose aperture, exposure time, ISO setting in your camera to desired value.
Mind the selected exposure time not to be shorter than 1/250s and at the same
time not shorter than the flash sync time.
4. When all settings are correct, your studio flash will trigger synchronously with
your camera.
07.1 CHANNEL SETTING
The radio connection of transmitter and receiver may be disturbed by e.g. magnetic
fields, other radio sources, mobile phones and other electric operated devices. This
may lead to false triggering. In such case, change the channel setting (7+9) on both
devices accordingly.
08 | CLEANING AND STORAGE
Never use aggressive cleansing agents or benzine to clean the device. We recom-
mend a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the outer parts of the device.
Store the device in a dust-free, dry and cool place. This device is not a toy – keep it
out of reach of children. Keep away from pets.
