INSTALLATION
The diaphram should be installed with the link joint slanting downards so that any water that is
splashed into unit can drain out.
MAINTENANCE
No maintenance is necessary beyond the test required by law. However, even if working satisfactorily
(no leakages, reponse pressure not exceeding 0,5 bar), the brake chamber should be removed,
dissassembled, cleaned, wearing parts replaced (for the repair kit see spare parts booklet), and them
reassembled at least every two years.
WARNING
!
A spring brake contains a very powerful spring which could cause serious injury if the case is damaged.
Do not attempt to dismantle a spring brake.
Only specialist workshops have the knowledge, special tools and facilities for safe disposal.
Do not place in land-fill sites.
Return old units to your local Wabco distributor.
If in doubt call your local Wabco distributor for advice.
INSTALLATION
The spring brake should be installed in horizontal position or inclined at ±15°, with pipe upwards.
Before installation, the pressure in the chamber is null.
After installation, it's necessary to apply a air pressure of 6 bars in the air chamber to obtain release
brake position.
