Operation
Connecting the power adapter to the capacity
tester
Connect the power adaptor to the capacity tester using the
cable supplied. Plug in the power adaptor. Use one of the ad-
aptors supplied if required. The Ready LED indicator will
light up.
Connecting the eBike battery to the capacity
tester
Take the eBike battery you want to test out of the eBike. The
capacity test cannot be carried out with the eBike battery in-
side the bicycle.
Connect the connection cable (6) to the eBike battery (you
will need to use the adaptor (7) for Classic+ Line eBike bat-
teries).
Note: The eBike battery you want to test must be fully
charged (the battery voltage must be greater than 40.9 V). If
the eBike battery is not fully charged, the measurement will
not start.
Do not place the eBike battery you are testing on the
u
capacity tester at any point during the test. The heat
generated by the eBike battery may damage the capacity
tester.
Position the eBike battery such that air can flow freely
u
through the ventilation slots (preferably on its side).
Connecting the capacity tester to the computer
Connect the USB cable (3) to the USB port on the capacity
tester. Use the USB cable to connect the capacity tester to
your computer.
When the DiagnosticTool starts, the application will automat-
ically detect that a capacity tester has been connected for
testing. The application will display the capacity tester's part
number, serial number, hardware version and software ver-
sion.
Test Execution
The test must not be carried out unattended. Defective
u
eBike batteries may cause unforeseeable responses that
require immediate action.
The capacity test should be carried out at room temperature
(ideally 20 °C). Observe the temperatures specified in the
technical data.
The room in which the capacity tester is used should be
equipped with smoke alarms.
The measurement should ideally be started immediately
after the eBike battery has been charged (max. 5 minutes
later).
Select <Capacity test> from the menu.
Select the type of eBike battery you have.
Start the capacity test. The Running LED indicator will light
up. How long the test takes will depend on the eBike bat-
tery's energy content.
