Attention
The zone lengths depend on the type of vehicle and the customer's
requirements!
Height, width and bottom clearance of the detection zone
The mounting position of the sensor units determines the detection height and
width of the Greensight. See figure 1 and 2 for examples of both transportation
and industrial applications.
Bottom clearance height is determined by the mounting height of the sensor
units. To prevent false alarms on the display or on the indicator lights, a bottom
clearance of 20 cm minimum is used.
Attention
People and objects in the area below the detection zone are not detected!
Top corner detection (optional)
Top corner detection extends the detection zone. By mounting two extra
ultrasonic sensors onto the top of the vehicle, higher obstacles such as signs,
half-open roller doors and branches of trees can be detected.
Sensors for side detection (optional)
To help prevent damage during complex vehicle manoeuvres, Greensight is also
available with sensors for side detection. These sensors detect objects
alongside the vehicle during reversing around corners. Depending on the wishes
of the customer, the side sensors can be automatically deactivated above a
certain preset speed.
