Charge only MILWAUKEE 48-11-0100 battery packs in this
charger. Other types of batteries may explode causing
personal injury and damage.
Charge your battery pack before you use your tool for the first time and when
your tool no longer performs with the power and torque needed for the job.
Never completely discharge the battery pack. Standard charging time will
vary according to the type of Charger you use. The charging time will also
vary depending on the supply voltage and charge needed. For example, if
your battery pack does not require a full charge, charging time will be less.
Battery packs are affected by temperature. Your battery pack will perform
best and have longest life if it is charged when the temperature is between
60°-80°F (15°C-27°C). Do not charge in temperatures below 40°F (5°C) or
above 105°F (40°C). Under these conditions, capacity will be reduced. See
"Maintenance".
Charging
The battery pack will feel warm immediately after using the tool. Allow it to
cool before inserting it into the charger since the charging cycle will not begin
if the battery pack is still warm.
1.
Plug the Automotive Charger into a 12 Volt DC source such as a
cigarette lighter socket. Place the charger upright as shown, being
careful not to block the vents.
NOTE: Be sure to plug in the charger before inserting the battery
pack. The charging cycle will not begin if the battery pack is inserted
into the charger before the charger is plugged in.
2.
Align the battery pack with the charger, and insert it into the charger
as far as possible. During charging, the charging light will glow.
NOTE: If you have followed the steps above and the charging light
does not glow, unplug the charger and remove the battery pack. First,
check to be sure the battery pack is cool. If it is warm, allow it to cool.
Next, check the electrical contacts between the battery pack and
charger. If the contacts are dirty, clean them with an eraser. Then plug
the charger into the outlet and reinsert the battery pack. If the charg-
ing light still does not glow, return the charger and battery pack to a
MILWAUKEE service facility.
3.
When charging is finished, the charging light will go out. Remove the
battery pack from the charger and unplug the charger.
