Electrical connection

Power supply

The recommended operating voltage is 24 V DC (Tab. 3, Fig. 1). A 12 V DC power supply can also be used
depending on the operating voltage of the locking elements used. The applicable current consumption of
the devices must be taken into account for operation with 12 V DC. In 12 V DC operation, the low voltage
detection must be switched to 12 V operation ("Jumper", page 48).
Motorised locks 509N and 519N may only be operated with 24 V DC!

Limitation of function with incorrect operating voltage at the components.The appropriate mains
adapter, cable lengths, and cable cross sections must be chosen according to the local circumstances.
Check and make sure that the operating voltage at the connection points is suitable for the components.

Identification of the cable

Note!
Choose uniform identification to prevent errors: In order to avoid errors and for a clearer overview dur-
ing installation and maintenance, ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik recommends uniform identification and
colour coding of the cable cores Tab. 3.
