Switch off Plug & Play to prevent tampering
Once the initialisation has run completely, ASSA ABLOY recommends to shut Plug & Play back off. The
current recognition data are then saved and cannot be changed. This secures the connection from the
lock to the IO module against tampering, since the IO module and lock can only process messages from
the respective side which it knows.
If Plug & Play has been shut off, the external control input Unlocking is also shut off at the lock (follow
separate instructions for the lock, grey connection wire on OneSystem 809N, 819N, 509N and 519N
locks). This secures the lock against tampering by away of the connection cable.
Reset Plug & Play shutdown
Conduct a voltage reset by
· Switching off the supply voltage and then switching it on again, or
· Briefly short-circuiting the plug-in contacts: Insert jumper 2 and remove it again ("Jumper", page 48).
You will then have 30 seconds to reset the IO module to factory settings.
· Switch DIP switch 1 from ON to OFF three times.
DIP switch 4 – Lock type
The DIP switch must be set according to the type of lock connected. This will also change the function of
the outputs ("Assignment of inputs and outputs", page 38 and "Outputs / relays", page 42).
DIP switch 5 – off
This setting is preset at the factory. Switching to on is not permissible.
DIP switch 6 – off

DIP switch 7 – Monitoring of the fire alarm system
The status (alarm on / off) of the fire alarm system connected can be monitored ("Assignment of inputs
and outputs", page 38, and "Inputs", page 40).
If fire alarm system monitoring is switched on, then relay
R1

B
– fire alarm system (Fig. 1, page 38,). If there is no electrical power, it means

to the fire alarm system.
