NOTICE:
• Protect the scale against hard knocks, moisture, dust, chemicals, major temperature fluctuations and
heat sources which are too close (e. g. stoves, heating radiators). This may damage the unit. Please see
section 11 "Cleaning, maintenance and disposal" and section 12 "Technical specifications" for details.
• Do not use any aggressive solvents, cleaning agents, detergents or any other strong chemicals to
clean the device.
• Never immerse and or spill water or any other liquid onto the scale, otherwise liquid will enter the scale
and cause damage.
• Do not wash the scale in a washing machine, dish washer or tumble dryer.
• Always use the size and type of batteries indicated.
• Never use rechargeable batteries. This may damage the unit.
• Replace weak battery before it discharges completely. When "Lo" appears in the display please change
the battery.
• Leaking batteries may damage the device. If you do not intend to use the scale for longer periods,
remove the battery from the battery compartment before placing the device in storage.
• To avoid draining the batteries do not place any items on the scale (Please make sure that there is no
weight on the feet of the scale) when not in use.
• Batteries can contain toxins that are harmful to the environment. Always dispose of batteries in accor-
dance with applicable local regulations. Do not dispose of batteries with normal household waste.
• Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in accordance with local
regulations.
• Do not step on the scale if you weigh more than 400 lb (181 kg; 28 st). This may damage the unit. When
in doubt contact your physician.
• Do not weigh more than one person on the scale at one time. This may damage the unit.
• Do not use mobile telephones, microwaves, and other devices which generate strong electrical or elec-
tromagnetic fields near the unit. This may result in incorrect operation of the unit.
• Do not press the buttons with excessive force or with any pointed objects.
• Never attempt to repair the instrument or adjust it yourself. This may damage the unit and impair the
functions. If you need to have the unit repaired, please contact our customer service. Please see war-
ranty for service contact. Before submitting any complaint, first check the batteries and replace them
if necessary.
• Changes or modifications to the device will nullify the user warranty.
