Safety instructions

WARNING
The sliding aid should only be used by
appropriately trained staff.
WARNING
Never leave the patient laying on the
sliding aid unattended.
WARNING
For safety reasons, always make sure
that there is a caregiver on both sides of
the support surface during boosting and
lateral transfers.
WARNING
Transfer/reposition the patient with
caution. Perform the movement at a
controlled pace.
WARNING
Remove the sliding aid from under the
patient once the transfer/repositioning has
been performed.
WARNING
The sliding aid is not designed for lifting
and must not be used as a lifting aid.
WARNING
Always engage the brakes when
transferring from bed to bench / trolley
/ wheel chair / commode chair and vice
versa.

WARNING
The transfer / support surface should
be adjusted to its ergonomically correct
height for the caregiver during the
manoeuvre.
WARNING
After the transfer/repositioning, the side
rails should be put back into position and
the surface should be lowered.
WARNING
Do not leave the sliding aid on the oor
or any other surface since it is extremely
slippery and accidents could occur.
WARNING
Store away from children.
WARNING
Please check each sliding aid before and
after every use.
CAUTION
The Flites sliding aids are a patient
speci c disposable sliding aids. If torn or
damaged, soiled, washed or subjected to
any liquids, it must be disposed of. It must
not be disinfected for re-use.
