Fitting the parking aid
Fit the sensors at regular intervals along the total width of the vehicle in
order to guarantee optimum monitoring (fig. d, page 7).
To be able to monitor the corners of the vehicle (indicator lights etc.), the
outer sensors should not be fitted more than 0.3 m away from them.
It is possible to paint the sensors, but not with a multicoat paint, as this
impairs the functionality of the sensors.
To perform the installation, proceed as follows:
➤ Choose an installation location on the bumper that is as perpendicular to
the road surface as possible.
Caution!
Before drilling any holes, make sure no electrical cables or other
parts of the vehicle can be damaged by drilling, sawing and filing.
➤ For each sensor, drill a hole in the bumper as shown in the table:

Note
When you drill the holes for the standard sensor holders, make
sure that large holes are not covered by the sensor holder nor by
the sensor.
