Replacing the sealing strips
a) Worn out sealing strip still in place
1. Fig. 11: Move the power bridge (3) to the backward
end position (idle bearing side).
2. Loosen the threaded studs (5) on the fixed bearing
housing and on the end cover.
3. Pull the old sealing strip (6) with tensioning plate (4)
out of the fixed-bearing housing towards the idle
side until it is about 20 cm from the power bridge
(Attention: do not pull it through the carriage!).
4. Remove the old sealing strip (6) from the tubular

5. Join the old and new strips (1) flush between
carriage and fixed bearing, and connect them with

move the carriage (by hand, if possible) towards the
fixed bearing, until about 20 cm of the new strip is
visible at the other end of the power bridge.
7. Remove the old sealing strip and adhesive tape from
the new sealing strip, and dispose of them in an
environmentally suitable way.
8. Fasten the new sealing strip in the fixed-bearing
housing with tensioning plate and threaded studs.
9. Pull the new strip on the movable-bearing side until
it sits completely on the tubular section.
10. Clip the sealing strip manually into the tubular
section, starting at the fixed-bearing end.
11. Cut off sealing strip with an overlap of at least 6-7
mm.
12. Insert the end of the sealing strip on the movable-
bearing side through the cover plate simultaneously
clipping it into the tubular section, starting at the
power bridge.
13. Fasten sealing strip in end plate, using the tension
plate and the threaded studs.
