Mechanical safety limit switches

Mechanical safety limit switches must be
used if the failure of the electric drive to
switch off could endanger persons.
The drive must not be commissioned before
all limit switches are attached and correctly
adjusted!
The mechanical safety limit switches are inserted in the
groove that serves to locate the KAO brackets in the IM
aluminium profile and clamped. They are adjusted by sli-
ding them in the groove.

Determining the end position:

The switching flag must have opened the limit switch
just before the sliding carriage reaches the safety zone
(dimension F F , see table).
Adjustment of limit switches:
1. Fig. 6: Loosen the setscrew for mechanical limit
witch (1).
2. Slide the limit switch (1) to the desired position in
the aluminium tubular section (2).
Execution MLSM:
- Dimension F up to inner edge of safety zone.
Execution MLSH / MLSM 80 ZRT:
- Dimension F up to bearing housing.
3. Fix the limit switch with the setscrew.
4. Check the position of the limit switch by turning the
screw by hand.
5. If necessary, repeat the procedure.
