switch command wheel of the microswitch Mc, otherwise manually rotate
the gearing I clounterclockwise unitl it reaches the above mentioned posi-
tion (fig. 7). If the motor is mounted on the right instead of on the left rotate
the gearing clockwise (fig. 8).
-
Put the two parts of the drive pulley back together in the rolling gate casing
making sure that the bearings are well housed in the sliding track and that
no hard tnatetial be deposited on the gearing teeth and inside the sliding
track.
-
Drill a hole F at the upper end of the rolling gate then fasten the drive pulley
to the rolling gate by means of the screw V (fig. 9)
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Normally the electric system is designed for the minimum opening command,
simply using a key selector S or a wall push-button panel (fig. 10).
The elec-trical connection should be carried out as follows:
-
Insert the power supply cable through the hole F drilled in the spring box
shaft near the microswitch. The release wire for models with electric brake
can be inserted in the same hole.
-
Connect the gear motor to the terminal board as per the diagram (fig. 11).
For the electric system connection with safety photocell and radio control
follow diagram (fig. 12).
I) Main switch with 5 Amp. fuse.
M) Gearmotor unit.
A) Antenna with coaxil cable to be fixed up high in open space.
S) Key selector to be mouted on exterior of rolling gate.
P) Internal push-button panel with parallel connection for more than one
push-button.
Ft) Transmitter photocell.
Fr) Receiver photocell.
Qr)Control panel with receiver.
N.B.: The size and number of the wires is indicated in the drawing of (fig. 12).
For wires lengths of more than 100 mt. increase section of wires. (All equip-
ment and metal casing must be grounded).
ADJUSTMENT OF THE LIMIT SWITCHES
CLOSING LIMIT SWITCH.
Place the rolling gate in the closing position want-ed then manually adjust
the wheel Rc (fig. 13) until you hear the clicking of the Mc closing
microswitch.
OPENING LIMIT SWITCH.
Rest the white ring F on the limit switch cursor C.
Electrically open the roller gate and stop it in the opening position desired,
then close it again. At this point align the stop wheel RA with the white ring
F which we previously used as reference for the above adjustment.
Once the operation has been completed secure wheel RA and RC with the
respective CR wheels (fig. 13A).
APPLICATION OF THE ELECTRIC BRAKE AND RELEASE MECHANISM
If you have chosen a reversible type rolling gate and you wish to to apply
the electric brake by yourself proceed as follows:
-
Fasten the rotationg disk DR to the motor shaft A with screw VR (fig. 14),
making use of thread adhesive for safer bonding.
-
Insert the steel wire F in the fixed disk DF in such a way so that it also goes
through the spring M and the electromagnet E.
-
Fasten with the towo screws VF the electric brake housing C to the nuts
D of the motor housing.
-
Manually pull the steel wire, if it lifts the DF disk more than 1 mm., loosen
the dowel GF and tighten the dowel GR so that the stroke of the disk DF
and is of about 1 mm. then lock the dowel GF.
-
Insert the steel wire F inside the braiding G. The tip of the braiding must
rest onto the casing C.
-
When the gearmotor is mounted, insert the braiding inside the spring box
shaft avoiding sharp bends in the point marked "S" in (fig.15).
-
Secure together the two parts constituting the release knob and insert the
steel wire F until the braiding G is totally compressed, then fasten the steel
wire to the lower knob and secure dowel Gm.
EMERGERCY MANOEUVRE
To manually operate the rolling gate in emergencies proceed as follows:
-
If the model si installed without electric brake simply push the rolling gate
up after having opened the lock, forcing the reverse movement of the gear-
motor.
-
If the model is installed with and electric brake, before manually raising the
rolling gate loosen the two parts constituting the release knob P (fig. 16).
-
If you wish to release it from outside the knob P must be applied inside a
box C (fig. 17) inserted into the wall.
INSTALLATION MANUAL
After having carried out the manual manoeuvre make sure to put the switch
D back in position 1.
This isn't necessary if you provide an automatic timer that can be controlled
by another key selector.
FAULTY OPERATIONS OF THE SYSTEM
If the gearmotor does not function check for current at the ends of the ter-
minal board. If there is, check the internal connection following the diagrams
below:

Motor
F)
Electric brake
C)
Condenser
Fc)

Cm) Motor common wire
-
If the motor vibrates but does not revolve, or it revolves more slowly than
it usually does and makes a strange screeching sound it is possible that
the electric brake needs adjustment. It is also possible that and accidental
blow might have caused friction between the rotor and stator. In this case
adjust the four motor fastening tie-rods until you achieve the cor-rect
running of the rotor.
WARNING
The good operation of the operator is guaranteed only if the following rules
are observed.
-
The capacities indicated in the technical features are valid only for perfectly
balanced rolling gates without any particular friction. In any case the open-
ing of the rolling gate is to be carried out with no manual difficulty.
WARNINGS
Correct controller operation is only ensured when the data contained
in the present manual are observed. The company is not to be held
responsible for any damage resulting from failure to observe the
installation standards and the instructions contained in the
present manual.
The descriptions and illustrations contained in the present manual
are not binding. The Company reserves the right to make any alterations
deemed appropriate for the technical, manufacturing and commercial
improvement of the product, while leaving the essential product
features unchanged, at any time and without undertaking to update
the present publication.
