Troubleshooting. Error messages, causes and solutions

Error code Description
Er 1 In operating mode A; temperature
sensor not plugged in
Er 2 In remote operation (PC), with
watchdog funktion 1 enabled:

Er 3 Temperature inside unit is higher
than 80°C
Er 4 Difference between setpoint and

Cause
• When the unit was switched on in
the mode A, the temperature sensor
was not plugged in
• PC does not send any data during
the watchdog time.
• • The connection/cable to the PC is
broken.
• Build up of heat between the heating
plate and the casing.
• Permitted ambient temperature has
been exceeded.
• Motor seized or overloaded.
• Volume of heat transfer medium
too large.
• Medium heat transfer rating is too low.
• Heat temperature rating of the vessel.

• With indirect heating the total heat
transfer resistance is too high.
• Value was incorrectly stored to memory.
• EEPROM switching error.

Effect Solution
The heating remains • Switch off the unit, plug in the tempera-
