2.3 Safety instructions for lead-
acid storage batteries
2.3.1 Do not throw the unit's storage
battery into fire and do not short
circuit.
2.3.2 A damaged storage battery may
leak battery acid and damage the
equipment!
2.3.3 Take special care when handling
damaged storage batteries. RISK OF
CHEMICAL BURNS! Wear suitable
safety gloves and protective clothing. If
the battery has leaked acid avoid any
contact with the skin, eyes and
mucous membranes. Immediately
thoroughly flush the affected areas
with clear water and immediately seek
medical attention.

2.4 In emergencies

2.4.1 Secure the accident area and
protect the injured and all other
individuals from further injuries.
2.4.2 Perform the necessary first aid for
personal injuries.
2.4.3 When requesting help or emer-
gency calls (doctor, fire department,
police) provide the following
information:
▪ Accident location (if necessary
description of the environment)
▪ Type of accident
▪ Number injured
▪ Type of injuries
