Start of Sewing

PLEASE nOtE!
❐ Make sure that the upper thread and lower thread are correctly threaded! Incorrect thread
guidance can cause the thread to rip, stitches can be missed, or the fabric may curl along the
seam. Under some circumstances, the device might be damaged.
❐ Practise first on a scrap piece of fabric before you start the actual sewing. Check the thread
tension.
❐ The threads and the fabric must be inserted in the sewing machine correctly before you
press the Ein / Stand-by button or the foot control. After you activate the Ein / Stand-by
button or the foot control, the machine starts to sew immediately.
❐ During sewing, you should not pull or push the fabric. This may cause the needle to break.
❐ In reverse mode (manual mode), the machine does not sew any fabric. Constant and
prolonged reverse mode will harm the device and may damage it in the long term.
❐ Danger of injury! Keep fingers away from all moving parts. Special care should be taken in
the area of the sewing needle.
You can use the mini sewing machine to sew fabrics with the straight stitch (4 mm long).
5. Select the sewing speed you want by pressing the speed button. Slower sewing (L ; depressed
button) is suitable for more precise, sophisticated tasks where the machine is stopped more
often. For a long seam without any interruptions, choose the higher speed (H ; depressed
button).
6a. Sewing with the foot control: Hold the fabric firmly and activate the foot control. The sewing
process will begin. If you release your foot from the foot control, the sewing machine stops.
6b. Sewing without the foot control: Hold the fabric firmly and press the Ein / Stand-by button
to start the sewing machine (and to stop it again).

1. Elevate the needle by turning the hand wheel (clockwise) away
from you; raise up the presser foot lever.
2. Place the fabric which is to be machined under the presser
foot so that the needle is positioned approx. 1 cm inside the
edge of the fabric. During sewing, the fabric will be transported
backwards, away from you. This is why it must be placed in
front of the sewing machine.
3. Lower the presser foot.
4. Turn the hand wheel (anticlockwise) towards you until the
needle pricks into the fabric. Hold the fabric firmly.
7. The fabric will be sewn and transported behind the sewing
machine. Carefully guide the fabric with one hand in front of
the needle and one hand behind it so that the seam ends up
straight.
