Equipment and Device Damage

❐ Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. If the device, cable or
plug shows visible signs of damage, the device must not be used. Do not use the device if
it has malfunctioned or been dropped. Have it checked by an authorised customer service
provider.
❐ In the event of damage / faults, switch the device off immediately.
❐ Never try to repair an electrical device yourself; contact your nearest customer service
centre / specialist dealer to ensure your own safety. In the event of damage, please contact
the customer service department.
❐ Only the accessory parts supplied by the manufacturer should be used. If accessory parts
which are not authorised by the manufacturer are used, all warranty and guarantee claims
are void.
❐ The device should only be used in closed rooms.
❐ Maintain sufficient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves in order
to avoid damage to the device.
❐ The device must be connected only to mains sockets that have been properly installed. The
socket must also be readily accessible after connection. The mains voltage must be the same
as that stated in the technical data of the device. Only use suitable extension cables whose
technical data is the same as that of the device.
❐ Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not
come into contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Never leave the device unsupervised during operation!
❐ Do not place any heavy objects on the device.
❐ Remove the mains adapter from the mains socket
– if you are not using the device,
– if a fault occurs during operation,
– before a thunderstorm,
– before you clean the device.
❐ When you want to remove the mains adapter from the socket, always pull the plug and not
the cable.
❐ The device may not be moved during operation.
❐ Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
❐ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, wide temperature variations, or direct
sunlight.
❐ Do not stick small objects into the openings of the sewing machine.

Warranty terms

The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects and damage caused by improper
handling or unauthorised attempts to repair. The same applies for normal wear.
