Spooling and changing the needle

Spooling

You can wind any thread you want onto the bobbins which are supplied with the mini sewing
machine.
PLEASE nOtE!
❐ If there is a bobbin in the bobbin compartment, remove it before you start spooling! Ensure
that no upper thread is threaded either because the needle moves back and forth during
spooling.
1. Remove the thread spool pin from the device as far as the limit stop and place a spool of
thread onto it.
2. Take a bobbin and feed the thread from the inside to the outside through one of the small
holes and let it project out for approx. 10 cm.
3. Twist the bobbin (anticlockwise) onto the winder pin on the hand wheel until it sits in place.
6. Switch the sewing machine on again until the desired length of thread is wound on. As you
do this, guide the thread between your thumb and index finger again.
7. Stop the sewing machine and remove the bobbin.
8. Cut through the thread.

changing the needle

Sewing machine needles are available in different sizes. Small needles are suitable for fine / delicate
fabrics and large needles for heavy fabrics. The needles which are supplied with the device are
suitable for average fabric strengths. If you want to sew a particularly tough or fine fabric, you
should purchase a suitable sewing machine needle and use it.
The needle must always be straight and sharp to ensure trouble-free sewing. Replace the needle
if it is bent, blunt or broken.
PLEASE nOtE!
❐ Make sure the device is switched off and the plug is pulled out of the mains socket. Take the
batteries out of the device before replacing the needle.
1. Bring the needle up to its highest position with the hand wheel.
2. Lower the presser foot.

4. While you hold the end of the thread with one hand, press the
Ein / Stand-by button or the foot control. The hand wheel will
turn and the thread will be wound onto the bobbin. Take the
thread which is to be wound between your thumb and index
finger of your other hand and guide it so that it is wound evenly
onto the bobbin.
5. Stop after a few turns and cut off the protruding end of the
thread on the side of the bobbin.
