4. Install:
• Battery wire harness 1
• Battery wire harness guide 2
• Screws 3
• Start switch lead 4 (F6A, F6B, F8C,
FT8D, F9.9F, FT9.9G)
Screws:
2 N • m (0.2 kgf • m, 1.5 ft • lb)
NOTE:
• Cut a hole in the shaded portion a of the
grommet, and then route the battery wire har-
ness through the hole.
• Place the battery wire harness guide over the
battery wire harness 1, and then install the
screws.
• Pass the start switch lead through the hole in
the grommet and align the white tape b on
the lead with the grommet.

5. Install (F6A, F6B, F8C, FT8D, F9.9F,
FT9.9G, FT9.9J):
• Tiller handle assembly 1
• Nuts 2
Nut:
36 N • m (3.6 kgf • m, 26 ft • lb)
6. Remove:
• Bolts 1
• Neutral switch stay 2
NOTE:
Install the neutral switch assembly with the
neutral switch stay uninstalled.
