3. Install (F6A, F6B, F8C, FT8D, F9.9F,
FT9.9G, FT9.9L):
• Start switch cover 1
• Start switch 2
• Nut 3
• Zip tie 4
Nut:
5 N • m (0.5 kgf • m, 3.6 ft • lb)
CAUTION:
Do not overtighten.
NOTE:
• Install the start switch cover with the water
drain hole a facing outward.
• Use a zip tie to fasten the start switch lead at
the place where it is marked with white tape

3. Install (F9.9J):
• Start switch 1
• Nut 2
• Grommet holder 3
• Grommet 4
• Bolt 5
• Choke knob guide 6
• Choke knob 7
• Choke rod 8
• Battery wire harness guide 9
• Screws 0
Nut:
5 N • m (0.5 kgf • m, 3.6 ft • lb)
CAUTION:
Do not overtighten.
NOTE:
• Cut out the shaded portion a of the grommet
4, and then install the start switch 1 into the
hole.
• Route the start switch lead b in the bottom
cowling as shown.
