Mounting

Please pay attention on the following points for the mounting of load
cells:
S Do not overload load cells, not even temporarily.
S The mounting surface must be horizontal, flat across the entire surface, and
absolutely clean. Dust, dirt, and other foreign matter should not collect such
that they have a detrimental effect on the mobility of load cells, thus
falsifying the measured value.
S When mounting, or immediately after mounting, each load cell should be
bridged by means of a twisted copper cable (e.g. EEK... by HBM = approx.

16 mm ). In this way, you prevent damage caused by welding currents.
S Load cell grounding reduces the risk of load cell damage due to lightning.
ATTENTION
Never load in a direction opposite to the load direction specified (see
arrow on the load introduction front of the load cell). This would cause
measurement errors and the damage of the mounting bolts. If load
direction is correct, the load cell output signal is positive.

tightening torque.
The base plate should be made from stainless steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 42.
The surfaces "X" must be even and in parallel (0.25 mm).
