7.4 Multi-Protocol Setup
Configuring for Art-Net™ and DMX
A multi-protocol setup with Art-Net™, make sure to set the same start address under <ArtNet setup>,
<Start channel> and <DMX functions>, <DMX address>.
1. Set the operating protocol:
a. Press MENU to enter the menu.
b. Press UP or DOWN to select <Protocol setup>. Confirm with ENTER.
c. Press UP or DOWN to select <ArtNet+DMX>. Confirm with ENTER.
2. Configure the Art-Net™ settings by following steps 2 through 6 under 7.3 Art-Net™.
3. Configure the DMX settings by following steps 1 through 3 under 7.2 DMX Mode.
Make sure the lighting controller sends DMX signals down the movement channels without
sending them down the pixel-mapping channels.
Configuring for Kling-Net and DMX
Kling-Net is a powerful and easy to configure video protocol that works seamlessly with ArKaos
MediaMaster. Kling-Net can be used in combination with a DMX controller.
A multi-protocol setup with Kling-Net requires configuration of the DMX personality and address. The
Kling-Net protocol does not require any special configuration.
Select the 106-channel or 119-channel configuration when using Kling-Net with MediaMaster and DMX
control.
1. Set the operating protocol:

Press MENU to enter the menu.

Press UP or DOWN to select <Protocol setup>. Confirm with ENTER.
c. Press UP or DOWN to select <KlingNet+DMX>. Confirm with ENTER.

Cleaning and Maintenance


All screws should be tightened and free of corrosion.

The housing, the lenses, the mounting supports and the installation location (e.g. ceiling, suspension,
trussing) should not be deformed, modified or tampered with; e.g. do not drill extra holes in
mounting supports, do not change the location of the connections...

Mechanically moving parts must not show any signs of wear and tear.

The electric power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified technician maintain
the device.

Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance activities. Let the device cool down.

Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.

Do not immerse the device in any liquid.

There are no user-serviceable parts, apart from the fuse.

Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.
Replacing the Fuse
Only replace the fuse by a fuse of the same type and rating.
1. Before replacing the fuse, unplug the mains lead.
2. Unscrew the fuse holder with an appropriate screwdriver.
3. Remove the old fuse and install the new fuse in the fuse holder.
4. Place the fuse holder back in the housing and tighten it.
