Selection of intake
nozzle
The following nozzles are recom-
mended for the Multievacuator
conveying system:
1. Round intake nozzle, OK160,
can be used for both stationary
and flexible systems.

Starting and stopping

Starting
We recommend that the air slide
on the intake nozzle be fully open,
or the intake nozzle be completely
free of material before starting up.
Set the intake nozzle for max. con-
veying capacity when the blower
reaches full speed.
Stopping
We recommend that conveying be
stopped by lifting the intake noz-
zle clear of the material, or by fully
opening the slide on the intake noz-
zle. Run the system until it is blown
clean and then stop the Multivac
unit.

2. Round intake nozzle, OK100, is
for use where light and flexible
suction is desired, but normally
this gives lower conveying ca-
pacity than an OK160 intake
nozzle.
3. Short intake nozzle, OK160, is
ideal for fixed positioning where
material is to be sucked from a

Fully open the slide on the intake
nozzle and start the Multievacuator
unit. Now turn the slide from fully
open towards the closed position.
Observe the material flow and set
the slide in a position where the
material flows fast and evenly to-
wards the intake nozzle.
The slide on the intake nozzle is
designed to create the correct bal-
ance between air and material flow
in the system.
If the slide is opened too far, the
system will convey too much air
and too little material.

intake nozzle to prevent the

becoming overfilled.
If the slide is closed too far, there
will be insufficient air for the system
and material will settle in the piping
and eventually block it completely.
Clearing blocked piping
Open the slide on the intake noz-
zle completely or lift the nozzle out
of the material and see whether
the blower itself is able to clear
the system. If this is not possible,
the piping must be dismantled and
emptied. The intake nozzle must
then be set for the correct convey-
ing capacity.
