Maintenance

Follow ISO 2230 and national regulations concerning storage,
cleaning and maintenance of rubber products.
5.1

Maintenance table

Observe national guidelines if applicable.
Work required
Visually inspect, check correct
function and leak tightness
Clean and disinfect facepiece
Replace exhalation valve disc
Replace O-ring and speech

Cleaning and disinfecting

CAUTION
Health hazard!
If residues from skin care products remain on the facepiece, the
elasticity in the sealing area can be lost and the facepiece will no
longer fit correctly.
► Thoroughly clean the facepiece body.
CAUTION
Risk of damaging the material!
Do not use any solvents (e.g. acetone, alcohol) or cleaning agents
containing abrasive particles for cleaning and disinfecting. Only apply
the described procedures and use the cleaning and disinfecting
agents given. Other agents, dosages and exposure times may
damage the product.

agents and their specifications refer to document 9100081 on
www.draeger.com/IFU.
5.2.1

Cleaning and disinfecting procedure

1. Remove any accessories from the facepiece and clean them sep-
arately. (Exception: Some communication units can remain fitted
to the facepiece. Please refer to the corresponding instructions for
use.)
2. Prepare a cleaning solution consisting of water and a cleaning
agent.
3. Clean all parts using a soft cloth with cleaning solution.
4. Thoroughly rinse all parts under running water.
