Positive pressure lung demand valve with-
out medium pressure coupling
Preparing the test device
Necessary accessories:
— Test piece PE (R 51 591)
— Test piece P (R 50 028)
— ESA adaptor (AG 02 406)
— Adaptor for lung demand valve of the PSS 90/100
(33 37 650)
— Adaptor for lung demand valve of the PSS 7000 (on
request)
 Close the compressed air cylinder of the compressed
air breathing apparatus.
 Remove the lung demand valve from the pressure
reducer.
 Fit the adaptor on the connection of the lung demand
valve.
 Fit the adaptor into the pressure reducer.
 Detach the test head.
 Switch off the positive pressure function at the lung
demand valve.
 Connect the lung demand
valve with the corresponding
test piece/adaptor to the round
thread connection (2).
 Open the compressed air sup-
ply.
 Activate the measuring point "Round thread connec-
tion" (3).
Check for leaks

 Set the test time (1).
 Disconnect the hose with a
blunt tool.
 Generate the test pressure
Briefly pull the joystick for fine
adjustment forwards several
times (2).
The pressure is displayed on the low pressure
manometer (3).
 Start the timer (1).
 Read the pressure at the end of the test time and com-
pare the pressure difference with the target value
Testing the switching pressure and static positive
pressure
 Briefly activate the joystick
several times and slowly
increase the negative pressure
(1).
 Read the negative pressure (2)
and compare with the target

Testing the metering valve
1)
 Set the test time (1).
 Generate the test pressure
 Start the timer (1).
 Read the pressure at the end
of the test time and compare
the pressure difference with

Ending the test
 Depressurize the line system.
 Remove the test assembly.
