OPErATiOn
ON/OFF Switch (FIG 10)
1. To turn the saw ON, move the switch (1) to
"ON" position.
2. To turn the saw Off, move the switch (1) to
"Off" position.
Variable Speed Dial (FIG 10)
your saw is equipped with a variable speed dial (2).
The blade stroke rate may be adjusted by simply
rotating the dial.
To increase speed, rotate dial (2) clockwise.
To reduce speed, rotate dial (2) counterclockwise.
NOTE: A hesitation before the blade movement after the saw is turned on is a normal condition of
this saw.
Dust Port (FIG 10)
your scroll saw has a 1-1/4" dust port (3) located at the front of the saw. The port can be connected to
a dust collection system.

Basic Scroll Saw Operation:

A scroll saw is basically a curve-cutting machine. It can also be used for straight cutting and beveling
or angle cutting operations.

same time. Do not try to turn the work piece while engaged in the blade without pushing it, the work
piece could bind or twist the blade.
GENERAL FREEHAND CUTTING
1. Lay out desired design, or secure design to the work piece.
2. Raise the blade drop foot by loosening the height lock knob.
3. Position the work piece against the blade and place the blade drop foot against the top surface of
the work piece.
4. Secure the blade drop foot by tightening the height lock knob.
5. Remove the work piece from the blade prior to turning the scroll saw ON.

6. Slowly feed the work piece into the blade by guiding and pressing the work piece down against the

7. When the cut is complete, move the trailing edge of the work piece beyond the blade guard foot.
