Cleaning and care

Cleaning the surfaces
Danger due to electric shock! Discon-
nect the extractor hood from the power
supply by pulling the plug out of the
socket or by switching off the fuse.
When cleaning, make sure that no water
penetrates the device. Regular cleaning
of the surface saves laborious removal
of stubborn contamination. Only use
conventional detergents or universal
cleaning agents suitable for cleaning
stainless steel/aluminium. Never use
abrasive cleaning agents or steel wool.
After cleaning the hood, treat the stain-
less steel surfaces with a stainless steel
care product. Painted surfaces should
only be cleaned using a mild detergent
solution and a very soft cloth. Only use a
soft damp cloth to clean the operating
panel.
On hoods fitted with a panel below the
filter (edge extraction), grease deposits
occur at the edge of the panel. These
deposits occur for physical reasons and
are not due to a malfunction of the hood.
Please clean the panel underneath the
filter regularly to prevent the formation of
stubborn residues.
Note: Do not use alcohol (spirits) on
plastic surfaces, as dull spots may re-
sult.
Caution: Ventilate the kitchen sufficient-
ly, no open flame.
Only clean the operating panel with a
soft damp cloth (mild detergent solu-
tion). Do not use stainless steel cleaners
for the sliding switch/pressure switch.
Risk of Fire!
The performance of the exhaust hood is
affected by greasy debris; the risk of fire
increases with the amount of deposits.
In order to prevent the risk of fire, regu-
lar cleaning of the metal filter is recom-
mended.
The necessity of cleaning the grease
filter is also displayed via the LED indi-
cators: The red LED on the ceiling de-
vice will begin to light up after 15 hours
16
of operation - when this happen, please
clean the filter. To do so, first gently
press the special glass pane upwards
with both hands.
The glass will slowly lift upwards and the
grease filter located beneath it can now
be removed. The metal filter is best
cleaned in a dishwasher with gentle
dishwasher detergent. The manufacturer
offers no guarantee in the event of pos-
sible discoloration through the use of
aggressive cleaning products. Tempera-
tures above 55 degrees should also be
avoided.
Caution: Please do not use any 3 phase
cleaners or clean the filter in a commer-
cial dishwasher. Cleaning with aggres-
sive products such as benzene, ace-
tone, trichloroethylene, et cetera will
lead to the destruction of the filter!
Caution: Do not wash grease filter to-
gether with silver cutlery in the dish-
washer! This leads to destruction of the
grease filter (galvanic element, not a
complaint claim)
To replace the metal filter after cleaning,
lift the glass pane upwards again with
both hands and then held the switch to
