2. Press the air purge again and again until fuel starts
to fill the bulb. The bulb does not need to be
completely filled up.
Note: Do not set the choke control in the choke
position.
To start the product
1. Hold the front handle with your left hand.
2. Put your right foot on the lower section of the rear
handle and press the product against the ground.
WARNING: Make sure you have safe
stands and that the saw chain cannot
touch anything.
3. Pull the starter handle with your right hand and pull
out the starter cord slowly until you feel resistance
(as the starter pawls engage).
4. Pull the cord powerfully until the engine starts.
WARNING: Do not twist the starter cord
around your hand.
CAUTION: Do not pull the starter cord to
full extension and do not let go of the
starter handle when the starter cord is
fully extended. This can cause damage
the product.

5. If you start the product with a cold engine, push in
the choke control as soon as the engine fires. This
can be heard from a "puff" sound.
6. The speed of the engine must be set to idle when
the chain brake is still engaged. Quickly disengage
the throttle trigger lockout. This prevents too much
wear to the clutch, clutch drum and brake band.
7. Pull the front hand guard back towards the front
handle to disengage the chain brake. Use the
product.

To stop the product

1. Push the start/stop switch down to stop the engine.
2. Remove the spark plug cap to prevent accidental
starting.
WARNING: The start/stop switch
automatically returns to run position. In order
to prevent unintentional starting, the spark
plug cap must be removed from the spark
plug when assembling, checking and/or
performing maintenance.
