Operation

Loading the container
The first time the container is put in place, the cont-
ainer mount on the base frame has to be centred.
1. Turn the rotary switch (Figure D/no. 18) to
Raise.
2. Raise the follower piston plate (Figure B/no. 11)
with the two-handed control (Figure D/no. 19)
until the pump lifter (Figure A/no. 5) is raised all
the way up (extend pneumatic cylinder to the limit
stop).
3. Move the four container centring devices
(Figure E/no. 20) on the base plate out to the
stops.
4. Centre the container under the follower piston
plate (Figure B/no. 11).
5. Turn the rotary switch (Figure D/no. 18) to
Lower .
6. Lower the pump lifter (Figure A/no. 5) using the
two-handed control (Figure D/no. 19) until the fol-
lower piston plate (Figure B/no. 11) is just above
the container (do not lower it into the container).
7. Turn the rotary switch to Hold  .
8. Centre the container again using the follower
piston plate (Figure B/no. 11).
9. Position the container centring devices (Figure E/
no. 20) against the container and position with
slight play.
10. Hand tighten the two container centring devices
(Figure E/no. 20).
11. Hand tighten the two front container centring
devices (Figure E/no. 20) as well.
NOTE
• Ensuring absolute cleanliness is
essential when opening a new
container! Only clean material may
be used. Don't turn the lid over
above the open container!
• Only use containers filled by the
lubricant manufacturer! Containers
which are filled or decanted in-
house often contain air bubbles
which can cause malfunctions.
• Containers with dents or other
deformations must not be used.
This would result in damage to the
follower piston plate and leaks.

Lower the pump into the container
1. Open the bleed screw on the follower plate
(Figure B/no. 11).
2. Turn the rotary switch to Lower .
3. With the help of the two-handed control (Figure
D/no. 19), lower the follower plate (Figure B/
no. 11) until it is inserted into the container. As
soon as the upper limit switch (Figure B/no. 8)
is activated by the control rod, the follower plate
(Figure B/no. 11) automatically drops down to the
level of the media without activating the two-han-
ded control (Figure D/no. 19). Since air was able
to escape through the vent hole, the follower pla-
te is now lying directly on the conveying medium.
Turn the rotary switch to Hold .
4. Close the bleed screw (Figure B/no. 10) on the
follower piston plate (Figure B/no. 11) immedia-
tely.
CAUTION
Don't touch the edge of the con-
tainer or reach into the container
under any circumstances while
lowering the follower piston plate.
CAUTION
Closing the bleed screw (Figure B/
no. 10) is mandatory. Air can be
sucked in or grease pushed out if
the bleed screw is open.
Lubricant pumping
• Turn the rotary switch (Figure D/no. 18) to Lower.
• Press the START button (Figure D/no. 14).
