Mounting of the guide is described in par. 10.1.3.
To set guide 4 at an angle, loosen two thumb screws 34, set the guide on tilt angle scale 44
to the required angle, tighten thumb screws 34.
Stoppers on the tilt angle scales 44 are used for quick and accurate setting of end values.
The scales are adjusted using a 90° and 45° square with subsequent securing with screws
44a (figure 6).
11.2 Cutting
Before starting operation, prepare and adjust the machine.
Preparation and adjustment include:
• cutting table mounting;
• cutting depth setting.
Mount guide 4 as shown in figure 5. Guide 4 can be mounted either perpendicular to the
cutting table or at an angle.
11.2.1 Cutting table mounting
To set the table for cutting, do the following (figure 7):
• remove bracket 9 and cutter block guard 8;
• loosen thumb nuts 26;
• set feeding (25) and receiving (24) planing tables using levers 40 and 41 on the same
level with cutting table 23 so that pointer 47 indicates "close" position on scale 43;
• tighten thumb nuts 26.
11.2.2 Cutting depth setting
Cutting depth can be adjusted only when the planing tables are moved together
to completely cover the cutter block.
Cutting depth setting is performed as follows (figure 8):
• loosen thumb nut 18 to allow saw blade move;
• move saw blade 32 up and down using handle 13 to set the required cutting depth on
scale 37. To raise/lower saw blade 32, handle 13 should be held in raised position to
uncouple gear connection;
• secure the set position of the saw blade with thumb nut 18.
11.3 Cross cutting
Cross-cutting device 47 allows cutting a workpiece at an angle in the range between -45°
and +45° in accordance with the adjustable scale 47a (figure 9).
Before starting operation, guide of device 47 should be mounted in the groove of cutting
table 23.
To set the angle of the device, do the following:
• loosen thumb screws 47b;
• set bracket 47 at the required angle by scale 47a;
• tighten thumb screws 47b.
11.4 End milling and drilling operations
Before operation the machine should be prepared and adjusted (figure 10):
• mount the end milling cutter or the drill;
• mount the router table 10;
• mount the support 5.
